Micah Vanderburg is a UNC-Chapel Hill graduate who is not afraid to work hard or get dirty. He has a wife of 12 years, Kelly, and two children. Asher is 7 and Ellis is 4. He is active at Freedom House Church in Charlotte, NC. By profession, Micah is an Exercise Physiologist with extensive training in health sciences. He decided not to pursue medical school fearing that it would create a monopoly on his schedule prohibiting his entrepreneurial spirit. Later, he was accepted to Duke University for graduate studies in Divinity but again was not entirely comfortable with the demands that would place on his future ambitions. In the end, Micah was best suited for real estate investing. It is, after all, real estate that excites Micah with endless possibilities and creative avenues to apply his original ideas.
Micah has worked for 12 years in the construction and remodeling industry. Over the years, he has established a solid network of real estate partners, including attorneys, realtors, mortgage brokers/bankers and tradesmen. Micah has been investing in real estate for the past 8 years. During this time he has handled many business transactions including new construction, land development, rental properties, lease options, and owner financing on second mortgages. Micah considers himself an “opportunist” taking advantage of whatever opportunity presents itself instead of adhering dogmatically to only one approach of real estate investing.
Of particular interest for VIP, LLC is finding creative ways to help potential homeowners purchase affordable quality homes. We take pride in helping these buyers purchase a property they are proud to call “home.” We do not hold a real estate license because we do not sell other people’s homes. VIP, LLC owns every property that we sell. We feel confident enough about our properties that we purchase them first, assuming all liability. Likewise, VIP, LLC is not a licensed contractor. In the event a licensed contractor is necessary for repairs or construction, it is hired out. For simple remodels and cosmetic face-lifts, a license is not required. VIP, LLC is quite simply an investment company matching homes with potential renters and homeowners. Our specialty is locating and purchasing under-priced homes, repairing any structural defects, and providing up-to-date renovations as needed. We then rent or sale these homes for a great deal, usually for less than the new appraisal value.
Two people that were and still are instrumental in the day to day success of VIP, LLC are Eddie and David.
It is hard to outwork an old timer brick mason like Papa Eddie, who helped with my first house.
This is the last time David had his hands in his pockets for 6 months because he was managing the Burrage/Union project along with many others.
